Instructions

Review First Aid notes for Electronics, and answer questions.

 

Wear safety glasses when soldering, cutting wires, or working with batteries.

First Aid for eyes:

Small object in eye:

- blink it out

- wash it out 

- eye lash sweep it out

- do not rub your eye.

 

Large object in eye:

- do not remove

- call 911

- immobilize the eye and object

- you may need to cover the other eye

 

Chemical in eye:

- call 911

-read safety warning

- call poison control

 

First Aid for Lacerations or cuts:

Small cut:

Wash and scrub with soap and water

Cover with a bandage

 

Large cut:

Is the area safe?

Protective gear (PPE - personal protective equipment)

To stop the bleeding use a sterile gauze and pressure, pressure, pressure

Call 911

 

Electrical Shock

#1 (safest for you) Turn off power

Check for pulse and breathing

Call 911

Let Supervisor or Teacher know
